At the end of June 2014, IWYIW Vietnam is going to hold an event named “Run for the Earth” located at Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Quarter, Hanoi. At this point

, you can get involved by donating money or buying our products for WWF reforestation project. All profit

received will be used for planting 3000 mangrove trees at Ru Cha Forest, Huong Tra Town, Thua Thien Hue Province.

IWIYW is a part of Earth Hour’s Campaign. When Earth Hour was first launched in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, it engaged thousands of people to gather in a lights-off event to show their concern about climate change. Since then Earth Hour has engaged more than 150 countries and territories worldwide, in which Vietnam is no exception. To date, all towns in Vietnam have participated in the annual light-out event, but there’s much more to do. We desire people not only to switch off in one hour, but to go beyond the hour.
I Will If You Will Vietnam has so far encouraged thousands of people to make real change and inspire community in saving environment, including businesses, celebrities and individuals. In 2013, IWIYW platform: “You and I together” engaged 20 celebrities, 20 businesses and nearly 8000 young people to participate in the challenges. In September 2013, we had the honor to welcome Mr. Andy Ridley, CEO and Co-Founder of Earth Hour, and Mr. Benjamin Vozzo, Earth Hour Global Digital Communications manager, to visit.
This year, IWIYW platform “Let’s Spread The Green” has used crowd-funding to raise money for WWF. Everyone can choose to nurture one tree or plant one tree depending on the amount of money they donate. Better still, they supporters can name their trees and track it via GPS due to the cooperation between WWF, Nokia and IWIYW.

Expected planting trees and tracking via GPS: From July 2014
